Out of Scout Premises Notification Form

Complete all necessary parts of this notification form for every activity which is to take place away from your usual Scout premises / location (Notifiable Activity) apart from nights away / camps, where a Nights Away Notification Form (NAN) should be completed. If the Notifiable Activity is to be undertaken as part of a nights away / camp and ALSO SUBJECT TO RULE 9 OF POR (see below), then complete part 2 and part 3 (if applicable) noting in the free text section, your details and that it is part of a nights away / camp.

In this section, please provide adults name and membership number for each adult attending your event.

Part 1 - Basic Information
Part 1 of this notification form must be completed for all activities (Notifiable Activities) that take place away from your usual Scout premises / location. This includes weekly Section meeting nights / times as well as any other extra curricular dates / times other than usual Section meetings. All activities of any description, including rule 9 Adventurous Activities and external providers (other than nights away / camps that are subject to NAN forms) that are away from the usual Scout premises / location, must be notified.

Part 2 - Adventurous Activities

Part 2 of this notification form relates only to Adventurous Activities which require an activity permit as per Rule 9 of POR:- 1) Archery, 2) Caving, 3) Climbing and Abseiling (with the exception of bouldering and climbs using auto belay systems [systems that lower a climber to the ground without any human intervention], 4) Cycling in cycle environment one and two, 5) Hillwalking in terrain one and two, 6) Hover- crafting, 7) Snow-sports (except artificial slopes and nursery slopes), 8) All water activities, except swimming, on class B1, B2, B3 or A waters 9) All motorised water activities, 10) SCUBA activities on class C waters. Part 2 also includes requirement of notification of any Terrain Zero walks / hikes or Environment Zero cycle rides which are to take place either partially or wholly outside the boundaries of Blaydon and District and use of the District Archery Equipment.
